Robin is a multidisciplinary creative producer with a deep love for what it means to be human. Laura Otolski believes in fostering thoughtful conversations about death, dying, and the significance of our final days, which led to her training as an end-of-life doula and a hospice volunteer. Her passion for improving end-of-life experiences stems from her previous work as a registered dietitian, providing care to individuals living with HIV/AIDS and cancer in Washington, DC. Her understanding of death as a natural part of life deepened during her time working on small organic farms in three countries, and while providing support to patients and families in a long-term care center in Chicago. "I've always expressed myself creatively, starting with hand-drawn cards as a child. In high school, I turned to art to process grief after the sudden death of my uncle, and since then, I've used visuals, often with humor, as a way to communicate.

A few years ago, as the primary caregiver to my aging parents, I experienced firsthand the challenges families face with medical and end-of-life decisions. After their passing, I joined VEOLI (Visualizing End of Life Issues), where I learned how visuals could have eased the process, from documenting final wishes to creating a visual life reflection. Now, I document last wishes and lead workshops on creating visual life journeys."

 Kelley is an Arlington, Virginia-based end-of-life doula and hospice volunteer.
